About Castle to Cottage Home Inspection, Inc.

Charles Van Alst founded Castle to Cottage Home Inspection, Inc. in 2007. He is an
AHIT (American Home Inspectors Training Institute) graduate and licensed by the state
of New York #16000033815.

Before starting Castle to Cottage Home Inspection, Inc. Charles taught Industrial Arts/Technology Education classes for more than 33 years at Wallkill High School. While at Wallkill, he taught classes in Mechanical Drawing, Architectural drawing, and Construction along with many shop classes. Just before retirement he helped establish, PLTW a pre-engineering curriculum for high school students.

Construction has always been an interest for Charles. Growing up on a farm just west of New Paltz, Charles has many years of experience in maintaining and repairing farm buildings.
